Meet The Doctors

About us and the way we choose to practice Salinas Pediatric.

Dr. Darmawan completed college at Iowa State University and medical school at The Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He was in practice for three years in San Antonio, TX before coming to California. In 2010 he came to Salinas to join Salinas Pediatrics and enjoy the beautiful Central Coast weather.

I make it a priority to establish an open, cooperative relationship with our patients. The goal is to partner with you to achieve optimum health for your child…

He loves basketball, hiking, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Dr. Darmawan is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Trieu is a graduate of the University of Medicine of HCMC-Vietnam. Dr. completed all the qualifying exams and finished her training in Pediatrics at Texas Tech University Health Science Center in El Paso.

I chose to become a Pediatrician because I want to care for and promote the well being of children. I also believe Pediatrician is a unique blend of both a healthcare provider and an educator.

She enjoys reading, hiking, traveling and spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Dr. Trieu is a board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Mercado received her medical degree from the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center in the Philippines. She completed her pediatric residency at the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York.

I look forward to caring for your children with excellence and utmost respect. I keep up with the latest scientific recommendations in our modern changing times so that each unique child receives the best treatment that they truly deserve.

She enjoys reading, swimming, baking and spending time with her family. Dr. Mercado lives in Salinas with her husband and three children.

Dr. Mercado is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Deyro received her medical degree from Rush Medical College and completed her pediatric residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. She graduated in 2015 and decided to relocate to California for the beautiful weather and nature.

I aim to work with the entire family—providing them proper guidance, treatments, and referrals— to ensure a healthy outcome for my patients. I hope to be a part of their stories. It has been said that the children are our future; I wish to help build this future, one child at a time

She enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, photography, and cooking.

Dr. Deyro is board certified in pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Erin is a Family Nurse Practitioner and is a graduate of University of California, San Francisco. Trained to take care of patients of all ages, she has focused on pediatrics with an emphasis on adolescent/teen health care issues.

As a nurse practitioner, I strive to deliver quality patient care that incorporates education and compassion into each meeting. I believe that experiences with healthcare providers as a child can mold a person’s lifelong values towards their own health as they grow older. That is one of the reasons I love working with families and their children–we can build healthy attitudes and habits!

She is happy to return home to the Monterey Bay with her family and join Salinas Pediatric Medical Group.

Previous to attending graduate school she was a pediatric and maternity care Registered Nurse at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsular for over 5 years.
